Raising kids to make healthy choices can be a challenge. The California WIC program gives you the tools to be a role model and raise kids who are healthy for life with free healthy foods and health education tailored to your family. WIC participants learn about having a healthy pregnancy, including healthy weight gain, feeding newborn babies, and making healthy choices for children from first foods to family meals, snacks, and more. Everyone learns differently, so our WIC health education is offered in fun and engaging group discussions, one-on-one sessions, and online—in any of our WIC program locations.
